Where is your race card black man,
Where is your respect American,
Your maleness incites issue,
Your blackness invites conflict.
So who do I see to remove my humanity?
So what do I do with such copious insanity?
So where must I go to revoke my vanity?
So when does the thought of my irrelevance reach calamity?
So why do people judge me and my profanity?
So how do I live in peace from all the obscenity?
I’m half and half,
Part black part white,
Part man but part kind,
Part lie and part trust,
Part glass and part dust.
I am strong but feel fragile,
I feel free but I am oppressed,
I am faithful but feel hopeless,
I feel alone but I am tethered,
Truly I am human but feel inhuman.
